The team behind the CEI 2.0
CEI 2.0 is the outcome of a collaboration between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Cyber Intelligence House. This updated index reflects the joint efforts of academic research and industry expertise in creating a tool for assessing the cyber exposure of publicly listed companies.
The development of the Cyber Exposure Index commenced in 2016 when Cyber Intelligence House introduced the first version of the index. The initial initiative was designed to shed light on the cybersecurity landscape of listed companies across 10 stock exchanges. It was recognized, however, that a more comprehensive system would be beneficial. Hence, the partnership with NUS.
The National University of Singapore, with its strong reputation for research and innovation, provides academic rigor to the initiative. Researchers from NUS have been key in refining the methodology of the index, ensuring that it is not only practical but also theoretically sound and peer-reviewed. This collaboration led to the development of an updated version of the index, CEI 2.0.
The partnership between NUS and Cyber Intelligence House leverages the strengths of both entities to create a tool that contributes to the financial market landscape. CEI 2.0 reflects the commitment of both institutions to increase understanding around cybersecurity risks.
This joint effort demonstrates the value of merging academic research with industry application. It’s a combination of theory and practice that continues to contribute to developments in cyber risk assessment and management.
